Psychic Perception: Isolating The Authentic From The Fraud

Finding a legitimate psychic advisor can be a confusing experience. Phone and internet sources often lead to websites or call centers where they ask for your credit card information before even giving you any guidance or proof that they are genuine. Psychic readings often end with them asking for more money for things they haven't even done for you like expelling demons from you or a loved one; removing some sort of family curse, or for buying more materials to give you a more accurate reading. Let me give you a little information about what to look out for.

*When you contact a psychic, the only information you should have to give them is your name and birthday, if you give them more information than that it's called a cold reading. Intuitive advisors use cold readings, not psychics.

*Remember that psychic ability is not a learned skill. Actual psychics have the ability from birth.

*Psychic readings are for guidance and for developing an understanding of yourself, not for instant wealth, love, or fame. Anyone who promises these things is a fraud.

*It's extremely difficult to get a good reading over the phone or internet. Without a sense of your energy, most psychics rely on tarot and intuitive guessing.

*Psychic vision is more like a cat then a dog. It comes when it wants to and not when you call it. Anyone who promises results everytime is insincere.

*In general, there's nothing you can find out from a psychic that you couldn't find inside yourself with meditation and study.

*Most metaphysical abilities are specialized. Some psychics are adept at reading for love, some for money, and some see disaster and death. (Good Tarot readers are exempt from this as the cards know all.)

  Looking for psychic guidance does not make anyone weak or gullible anymore than looking for a good therapist.  Just use good judgment when you choose an advisor and enter into it with an open mind and a healthy dollop of skepticism.  Make sure you are comfortable with the person and feel free to ask for more explanation if something they say confuses you.  It's better to find a local practicioner than try to go through an automated service. That way you can pay cash in the agreed upon amount and no more. 

   People often believe they are psychic. Most people, unless born a null, have some form of psychic ability.  This could be as simple as always being able to find something when it goes missing to the complex world of prophetic dreams.  People are seeing auras, feeling others' emotions, and talking to the dead right now all over the world.  Having the ability doesn't necessarily mean you can control it, it's something that needs to be developed in all but the most gifted psychics.  For those people, control doesn't mean learning how to turn it on, it's learning how to turn it off.  It's hotly debated whether or not psychic abilities are the reason behind paranoid schizophrenia and various anxiety disorders.  Chances are, if you had that kind of psychic potential, you'd know about it though.  So let's look at the rest of us.  There are many resources for helping to discover and develop your psychic potential.  The first thing I'd advise anyone to do who believes that they do is to get educated about it.  You can learn a lot over the internet.  (Just be careful not to get sucked into psychic reading sites by mistake) Books like those I've listed below are also a great resource.  Above all keep a clear head and trust your own judgement.  If someone makes you feel uncomfortable, walk away.  You'll have plenty of time to seek elsewhere for your answers, especially those that are inside yourself.
